Ms. Aarthy G.
Aarthy G. has a BA, LLB (Hons.) and an LLM from the School of Excellence in Law, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University. She has also completed an M.Sc. (Psychology) from TNOU, Chennai and she is currently pursuing a doctoral degree. She has previously worked at the Saveetha School of Law and the School of Law, Sathyabama University. She also briefly worked as an in-house counsel at VGP Corporate. Aarthy is a recipient of the Central Sector Scholarship for her Undergraduate Studies.
During her undergraduate studies, Aarthy interned with the State Human Rights Commission. She was also appointed as a Rapporteur in the Regional Conference on Environment, by the National Green Tribunal, United Nations Environment Programme. Aarthy interned with the Archeological Survey of India, Ministry of Culture in the course of her postgraduate studies. She has participated and conducted many webinars, seminars and workshops. She has authored a novel and has published a number of articles in national and international journals. She is actively involved in environmental conservation, having spearheaded the Chennai Coastal Clean Up (CCC) initiative. She regularly volunteers with the Environmentalist Foundation of India and Blue Cross of India.
